Use the Switch Simulator to emulate a CSTA switch environment, including devices such as telephones, trunks, and ACDs. You can use the Switch Simulator with one or more CTI servers to build a CTI test environment without needing switch hardware. The CSTA Switch Simulator environment is defined by configuration scripts supplied to you. These scripts specify the characteristic functions, events, and behaviors of the CSTA switch and of the devices in the CSTA Switch Simulator environment. Developers can modify the scripts to define the characteristics of simulated telephone devices, or to simulate some specific feature of a commercial switch.
