It utilizes a durable thermoplastic hard shell enclosure which is liberally over-molded with shock absorbing urethane. In fact - the scanner can withstand 50 drops of two meters (6 Feet - 6 Inches) to concrete. The scanner is sealed against dust and water at an industry leading IP65 rating. It can operate between -20 degrees C and 50 degrees C. These specifications are not surpassed by any competitive RF scanner.
