Symantec Client Security provides better protection at the client against
complex Internet threats-including blended threats such as Nimda and Code
Red-by integrating antivirus, firewall, and intrusion detection
technologies. Symantec Client Security can automatically scan files for
known and unknown viruses, block suspect inbound and outbound traffic, as
well as unauthorized intrusions and port scans. Its integration of
industry-leading security technologies at the client tier provides
comprehensive security, while helping to reduce overall security costs.
Symantec's client firewall technology automatically instructs the antivirus
scanning and intrusion detection engines to scan all outgoing files. If a
threat is detected, the antivirus and/or intrusion detection engine
